Identification
Horizontal single-stage standardized centrifugal pump — designed per ISO 2858 / EN 22858 (dimensions) and ISO 5199 (requirements) — by the Brazilian manufacturer Imbil (Itapira/SP). Back pull-out construction: the rotating assembly comes out from the rear without disconnecting piping. It is the direct national alternative to imported standardized pumps: the same dimensional interchangeability, with the parts chain and application engineering in Brazil.
Position on the six axes
| Axis | Position |
|---|---|
| Hydraulics | Radial (single-stage) |
| Stages | 1 |
| Configuration | OH1 (back pull-out) |
| Sealing | Sealed (mechanical seal or packing) |
| Standard | ISO 2858 (dimensional) |
| Service | Sanitation, water/sewage, general industry, sugar and ethanol |
Ranges and construction
| Parameter | Official value |
|---|---|
| Flow | up to 1,300 m³/h |
| Head | up to 230 m w.c. |
| Design standards | ISO 2858 / EN 22858 (dimensions) + ISO 5199 (requirements) |
| Construction | Single-stage horizontal, back pull-out |
The official range goes BEYOND the classic ISO 2858 dimensional grid (extended line at the larger sizes). Materials and per-size details: selection tables in the official catalog (available in PT/EN/ES). Declared applications: general industrial and civil duties — in Brazilian practice, sanitation, sugar and ethanol, steel, pulp and food.
Differentials and points of attention
- Standardized grid with national manufacturing: ISO 2858 interchangeability with local lead time and parts — the MTTR argument in public contracts and plants away from the main hubs.
- Official trilingual catalog (PT/EN/ES) with selection tables — sizing verifiable at the source.
- Point of attention: public curve documentation is thinner than the global leaders' — demand certified test curves (ISO 9906) in the specification; they are also the baseline for performance CBM.
Where it stands out / limitations
Stands out where the criteria are local technical support, lead time and local-currency cost — Brazilian sanitation and general industry, public contracts with local-content requirements, fast replacement. Limitations: those of the standardized class (mild/moderate service; not an API 610 platform), and public curve documentation is thinner than the global leaders' — request certified curves in the specification.
Official documentation

Reliability
No published MTBF (the industry rule). In water service inside the BEP, the standardized-class profile holds — and the dominant MTBF factor is installation/operation discipline, not brand (the 3× spread between plants running the same machine — see "Reliability in numbers" in the Centrifugal Pump handbook). Factory proximity is a maintainability asset: lower MTTR through logistics, not higher MTBF by design.
